Recognizing this vital importance, the Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW) Metro DC Chapter is proud to present its Bi-Annual Conference, taking place on May 30-31, 2025. This year’s crucial theme is “Rebuilding & Reclaiming Black Families,” a call to action, innovation, and collaboration.

The Process: How to Answer the Call – IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED!
The deadline to submit your proposal is rapidly approaching: TUESDAY, APRIL 15th, 2025! Given today is April 12th, there is absolutely no time to delay. Here’s how to submit:
- Locate the QR Code: Find the QR code prominently displayed on the conference flyer image.
- Scan the Code: Use your smartphone’s camera or a dedicated QR code reader app to scan the code.
- Access the Submission Portal: The QR code will link you directly to the online proposal submission form or portal.
- Prepare Your Submission: While the specific requirements will be detailed on the portal, generally be prepared to provide:
- Your contact information.
- A compelling title for your proposed session/presentation.
- A clear abstract or summary (outlining the topic, objectives, and relevance to the theme).
- Information about your intended audience and presentation format (e.g., workshop, panel, paper presentation).
- Submit Before the Deadline: Ensure your completed proposal is submitted electronically via the portal by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025. Late submissions likely cannot be considered due to the conference planning timeline.
